God anoints individuals to serve in various capacities in the church. He equips church leaders, pastors and lay persons with compassionate hearts and leadership skills which combine for effective ministry.​

 

​The administration of the Church of God at the international level is under the supervision of the General Overseer (Presiding Bishop), three assistants (executive bishops), the secretary general, and eighteen Counselors or Council of Eighteen constituting the International Executive Council of the church. ​​​The International Executive Committee is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the church. These leaders are elected at the General Assembly, a biennial gathering of ministers and laity meeting for business, worship and fellowship. The state overseer provides leadership at the state or regional level and local pastors are appointed by the overseer in consultation and prayer with the local church.

New Life Church of God of Gallipolis, Ohio, was planted in 1999 by Pastor Rick Towe.  He continued as the Pastor until Summer 2018 at which time he felt God calling him into the ministry of singing southern gospel music. God had been putting the pieces in place as Greg Sears had relocated to this area and felt God leading him to attend New Life. After prayer and discernment, the church chose him as their new Pastor and he accepted the call. Members have said it was one of the smoothest transitions they have ever seen. Pastor Sears served as pastor from July 2018 until October 2020 at which time health issues forced him to retire. God continues to bless the church as we continue to share the good news of salvation.  We are currently trusting God to send the right person to be our new Pastor.
